Eco-friendly slippers: Why choose them?

Publié le

Faced with the growing environmental impact of our consumption, more and more people are choosing to consume more responsibly and sustainably. Purchasing eco-friendly slippers is an excellent alternative, combining comfort, style, and respect for the planet. Why choose eco-friendly slippers? What materials are used? And what are the advantages of choosing products made in Europe, particularly Spain? This article will explain the reasons for choosing eco-friendly slippers.

1. Recycled materials: reducing the environmental impact

One of the main criteria for choosing eco-friendly slippers is the materials used in their manufacture. At Angarde, we favor recycled materials to design slippers that protect the environment while offering comfort and durability.

  • Recycled rubber soles: To limit the use of new resources, we use recycled rubber to manufacture the soles of our slippers. This material allows us to produce soles that are flexible, durable, and comfortable, while also helping to reduce industrial waste.
  • Recycled textiles: Our slippers are also made from recycled textiles, allowing us to reuse existing materials rather than producing new fibers. This approach helps reduce textile waste and the carbon footprint associated with raw material production.

Choosing slippers made from recycled materials not only helps the planet, but also guarantees exceptional durability, essential for limiting the need for frequent product renewal.

2. Partners committed to quality and the environment

At Angarde, we are proud to collaborate with partners chosen for their expertise, know-how, and commitment to the environment. We favor suppliers who share our values of sustainability and respect for the planet.

  • Responsible suppliers: Our partners are selected for their ability to produce slippers while respecting the strictest ecological standards. From production to packaging, each step is designed to minimize environmental impact while ensuring products of exceptional quality and comfort.
  • Comfort and durability: We only work with producers committed to offering slippers that do not sacrifice comfort or durability. These slippers are built to last, with durable materials and a design designed for everyday use.

3. Local manufacturing: Spanish craftsmanship at the service of ecology

Our eco-friendly slippers are made in Spain, in the Elche region, a place renowned for its historic expertise in shoe production. By choosing local partners, we support the Spanish economy and limit the carbon footprint associated with transportation.

  • Family-owned workshop with over 25 years of expertise: Angarde slippers are made in a family workshop with over 25 years of experience in manufacturing quality footwear. This artisanal expertise guarantees well-designed, durable, and comfortable products.
  • Ethical certifications: The workshop we work with is certified by SMETA, one of the strictest social and ethical audits in the world, ensuring compliance with employee working conditions and environmental standards. We ensure that every Angarde product meets the highest social and environmental standards.
  • Reduced carbon footprint: Manufacturing our slippers in Spain reduces transportation-related emissions while supporting local production that is more respectful of natural resources.

4. The Second Life program: for circular consumption

At Angarde, we are aware that excessive product consumption leads to significant waste, and that nine pairs of slippers are thrown away every minute. This represents a large amount of textile waste, the majority of which ends up incinerated or buried in the ground, polluting our soil and oceans.

  • Recycle your used slippers: This is why we have implemented the Second Life program, a circular model aimed at recycling your used Angarde slippers. We offer our customers the opportunity to return their old slippers to us free of charge, whether they are damaged or simply no longer usable. We take care of their recycling to give them a new life, thus contributing to waste reduction and resource conservation.
  • Limit waste: This program significantly reduces the amount of discarded shoes and prevents them from ending up in landfills or incineration. Instead of generating additional waste, Angarde slippers are returned to the factory for recycling, in an environmentally friendly process. All our pairs have a removable insole. If it becomes too worn, there's no need to throw it away! We offer replacement insoles on our website in a variety of materials: wool, leather, cotton terry, and bamboo terry.

5. Conclusion: A responsible choice for your comfort and the planet

By choosing Angarde eco-friendly slippers, you're choosing a sustainable and environmentally friendly product. Our slippers, made from recycled materials, are designed to offer comfort, quality, and longevity while minimizing their environmental impact.

In addition to local manufacturing and our commitment to responsible partners, the Second Life program is a flagship initiative that closes the lifecycle of our products by recycling them and giving them a second life.

Our slippers are offered at different prices depending on the materials used: our recycled wool models are priced at €70, while our leather ones, considered more premium, are €95. Say goodbye to slippers; we offer around fifty trendy colors and patterns inspired by current fashions, such as leopard print.
