Our approach

9 pairs of shoes are thrown in the trash every minute, 8 will end up in nature, incinerated or buried in the ground. So we created a circular model by offering our customers the chance to return their used Angarde to us free of charge for recycling.

We favor recycled materials

Circularity is our reason for being.
Circularity is based on the idea that nothing should be thrown away, everything should be reused. Concretely, it all starts with the design of our models using recycled materials. We favor as many recycled materials as possible and sourced in Europe, to avoid producing new polluting materials (e.g. polyester) or to avoid promoting intensive agriculture (e.g. cotton).

We recycle your worn pairs

Our recycling partner GEBETEX is a family business located in Normandy since 2015.

GEBETEX works with companies and associations and offers different services and products depending on the quality of the textiles received.

Sorting is done manually and follows two steps: first separate the textiles into different categories (second-hand clothing and household linen, leather goods and shoes, wiping cloth, etc.) then take everything carefully to redirect them to the best possible sector (second hand, rags for industry, fraying for recycled material, CSR). Throughout this sorting chain, the values dear to the company (respect for the environment and working conditions, industrial and financial solvency, traceability, etc.) are applied both internally and externally.

Today, you can recycle all your pairs of Angarde shoes (and not homewear for now). And to thank you for returning your pairs, we are offering you 15% off your next Angarde purchase. This is our Second Life program! To find out more about this program, click here .
