Care advice
How do I maintain my parts?
We have chosen since our beginnings to use quality materials for our products: whether wool, linen, leather or tencel, we do our best to select the most beautiful while being the most responsible. possible. It is therefore necessary to take care of your parts on a daily basis to prolong
their lifespan and you feel good there, every day!
The slipper
On a daily basis : the first instinct is to air out your slippers as much as possible and protect them from dust by storing them in a cupboard when you are not wearing them. We advise you to wear your slippers indoors but not “in slippers”.
Washing : you can wash your slippers by hand in warm soapy water using a sponge. Air dry them! Our slippers feature a removable wool insole. You can therefore also wash it separately with lukewarm water and soap. For more details, we tell you everything about caring for your slippers in a dedicated article.
Comfort : if your soles are worn, you will find replacement wool soles on our site.
The mule
For everyday use: the outsole is water resistant and dries very quickly! For your mules but also for your other Angarde (espadrilles, slippers and sneakers), you can use our deodorizer to capture and eliminate unpleasant odors caused by foot perspiration. It will also leave a fresh scent inside your shoes.
Washing : you can clean the exterior of your mule with cold water, soap, and a sponge.
The espadrille
Washing : you can wash your pair of espadrilles (especially linen ones which cannot be machine washed) in cold water, soap and a nail brush. Models without glitter can be machine washed (30° or cold, without spinning).
Storage : for lovers of espadrilles who have several colors or different models, we share our tips for storing all your shoes in your closets.
Comfort : you can wear your espadrilles with our invisible socks , made of bamboo and organic cotton!
Tencel shorts
Washing: your shorts are machine washable but they can be capricious in contact with water and heat, be sure to follow our recommendations. Wash them inside out with similar colors and use a special detergent for delicate fabrics, do not add any bleach (the color of your shorts could lose its vibrancy). We recommend a cold wash although it will withstand a delicate wash at 30C°. For spinning, do not exceed 400 rpm. To dry, let it air dry, flat or hanging.
Comfort: iron it inside out and at low temperature (110°C maximum)
Tencel cotton pajamas
On a daily basis: to store your pajamas, fold them carefully, do not hang them up, as the mesh could become loose and the pajamas become deformed.
Washing: your pajamas are machine washable but they can be capricious in contact with water and heat; be sure to follow our recommendations carefully. Wash your pajamas inside out with similar colors and use a special detergent for delicate textiles, do not add any bleach (the color of your pajamas could lose its vibrancy). We recommend a cold wash although it will withstand a delicate wash at 30C°. For spinning, do not exceed 400 rpm. To dry, let it air dry, flat.
Ironing: at low temperature (110°C maximum)
Upcycled pineapple “leather” (for our sneakers)
Our partner Piñatex ® buys unused pineapple leaves from Filipino farmers to extract the fiber. This is then transformed into a 100% natural, biodegradable and vegan textile material, which does not require the cultivation of specific lands.
Upcycled cactus “leather”
(for our sneakers)
Awarded the LVMH Innovation Prize, this vegetable leather is made from cactus leaves. The cacti are grown organically in Mexico (no irrigation, no pesticides). Dried then crushed, the leaves are then transformed into textile material without any added chemicals. The result looks exactly like animal leather except that it is vegan, durable and very easy to clean.
