Unique and local expertise

We designed our espadrilles to have the lowest possible environmental impact. It was our responsibility to create a sustainable brand by carefully selecting our materials, manufacturing processes, and choosing local production in Europe. To control our carbon footprint, we work with Carbonfact, which analyzes our emissions, allowing us to compare ourselves to other brands and identify our weaknesses to improve. And we show you all of this transparently on our website.

A second essential point for us is waste reduction. For this, our men's espadrille has been designed with recycled materials, is easily washable, sometimes even machine washable, and is 100% recyclable. Zero waste is our goal! This model is designed in France by our designers, then manufactured by hand with our partners in a family workshop located in southern Spain, which we selected for the quality of their work.

In the long term, our ambition is to repatriate our production to create 100% made in France espadrilles and promote French savoir-faire.

When designing our pairs, we make it a point to consult with our customers to decide on the ideal colors, style, and components. For us, the essential thing is to meet your needs and desires, to offer you a shoe that closely matches your expectations. This is also why our sizes range from 39 to 46, so that everyone can find their pair. From beige, black, navy blue, or even green, many colors are available, so that everyone can find what they're looking for.

Vegan, from fabric to sole

The upper of our men's espadrille model is made from recycled materials: for example, we offer espadrilles in ultra-resistant recycled cotton canvas, or others in recycled linen, for a high-end and elegant finish. 

The inner lining is made of recycled cotton or bamboo fiber, for a soft and enveloping feel. The insole is shock-absorbing, anti-odor, and memory foam. The rubber outsole is resistant to water and wear. A thin jute braid made of natural plant fiber surrounds the outsole, bringing an authenticity reminiscent of the classic espadrille from the Southwest!

The icing on the cake is that when your pair reaches the end of its life, you can send it back to us free of charge for recycling, and in return, you'll receive a 15% discount voucher for your next order! This is the Seconde Life program, unique in France and particularly important to us as it is part of a circular approach, prioritizing zero waste.

Simplicity and conviviality are at the heart of Angarde's values. Our espadrilles are designed to be timeless, easy to wear, and for the whole family. They are casual shoes that can also be very elegant and dressed up if paired well. You can wear your espadrilles with beach shorts or Bermuda shorts for a very natural and 100% summer look. You can also opt for a chicer look and pair your men's espadrilles with relaxed chinos and a linen shirt, a foolproof outfit for a beach lunch or a warm summer evening.
