What materials are used to produce our espadrilles?
Angarde espadrilles combine comfort and durability thanks to their high-quality materials. Made in France, our espadrilles use recycled cotton for exceptional softness. The shock-absorbing outsole is the same as on a pair of sneakers, ensuring optimal walking comfort. The insole is made of recycled leather and latex for better foot breathability. These espadrilles are ideal for women looking for practical and stylish footwear. Our shoe and clothing production is done by hand and ethically in family workshops in Spain and Portugal.
Why a rubber sole for our espadrilles?
Unlike traditional models whose jute sole fears moisture, our innovation lies in combining comfort and resistance. The foot rests on a leather insole designed for well-being, while the outsole is a sneaker sole. This rubber sole provides good cushioning with every step and daily comfort. It fears neither water nor wear, which gives your pair of espadrilles exceptional durability (even for children!). Our soles are made with a thin jute braid to maintain the emblematic espadrille look.

Our clothing and accessory lines, meanwhile, are made in Portugal. This geographical proximity allows us to limit the carbon footprint of transport while offering you a transparent price consistent with the quality of the recycled materials used.
