Why this Colorama collection?
“Colorama is the first collection of unisex espadrilles for the spring-summer 2023 season. For the occasion, we wanted a collection that was very colorful, with pep and rhythm... and with the team we worked on a gradient color palette, hyper dynamic and hyper summer.
The specificity of the Angarde espadrille?
“Behind Angarde, there is a 3.0 espadrille, an espadrille that we wanted to have zero defects. It has everything of a traditional espadrille, we find exactly the same look with the jute braid, characteristic of the South-West espadrille, but with a rubber sole, entirely water resistant therefore machine washable. The upper part is made of recycled cotton and bamboo fiber, with a removable and super-comfortable sole inside. This is typically the espadrille that you will keep for many summers!”
The mood that you wanted to convey through this collection?
“There are several inspirations behind Colorama, but I think if we had to name just one, it would be a film called “The Talented Mr. Ripley”, a film that takes place in Ischia, a small island opposite Naples, in the middle of summer and where we can very well imagine the sun beating down on the old stone of the traditional houses, this little Marina, which is called - Marina di Foria - it seems to me, with all these colorful fishing boats, with us behind admiring the panorama, a glass of Spritz in hand”.
The color for a drink with friends?
“Navy blue obviously because the best place to have a drink with friends is in front of the sea”.
The color for a romantic summer evening?
“I would say yellow because I can imagine myself very well under the trees with little taverns and lanterns lighting up a table, super nice.”
The boldest color?
“I would say it's orange because orange is not a very easy color to combine, it's not a very easy color to wear but when you get there, it can be very stylish!” .
Your favorite color?
“And blue again because it’s the color of the ocean!”
