Who is Jean-Michel Tixier?
This self-taught artist, having never taken a single drawing class, left Limoges for Paris in 1998. He began by illustrating the record covers of his musician friends before attracting the attention of major brands and press titles.
Drawing his dreamlike and irreverent universe from the figures of French illustration from the 70s to which he is very attached, his style and his galleries of characters are part of the clear line movement without hesitation.
Jean-Michel Tixier shapes a cynical and comically offbeat world in which he enjoys highlighting embarrassing, surprising and grotesque situations.
“What interests me is being able to tell something powerful with as little detail as possible. » Indeed, behind the apparent simplicity of his drawing, he takes a mocking look at the society around him without being contemptuous.
A surprising collaboration!
Jean-Michel was immediately inspired by our models to tell funny and offbeat stories.
So together we created the “ Grand Prix ” and “ Grand Amour ” models, two stories that use the characteristics of the mule to showcase Tixier’s characters while maintaining a chic and discreet style once on the feet.
