Focus on our Tencel

Focus on our Tencel

Our Tencel comes from Somelos in Portugal, a family-run business founded in 1958. Lenzing-certified Tencel fibers are derived from wood cellulose, dissolved in a non-toxic solvent. This solvent is 99.77% recoverable, making Tencel production nearly a closed-loop process. The pine, eucalyptus, and bamboo forests used for Tencel manufacturing are specifically planted and certified as sustainable. Additionally, these species do not require intensive irrigation. All these factors make Tencel a fiber with a low environmental impact.
