What size should I choose for my espadrilles?

It varies from one model to another, depending on the materials used. We advise you to carefully read the information on the product page of the model you are interested in, under the "Unsure about the size" section, below the size selector.

How do I clean Angarde espadrilles?

Easy, all you need is a little cold water, soap, and a sponge: run the stain under water and scrub with your sponge containing soap. Rinse well and let dry away from direct sunlight. You can also wash our men's espadrilles in the machine, at 30 degrees or cold, after removing the insole. Convenient, right? Finally, remember to regularly waterproof your Angarde espadrilles to prevent dust from embedding in the canvas.

How to wear our espadrilles?

Espadrilles are timeless summer shoes, very easy to wear. With shorts for the beach, or with chinos and a linen shirt for evening wear, they are a summer essential that adapts to all styles! At Angarde, we have redesigned the outsole of our espadrilles to make them more comfortable, more durable, and therefore more urban. You can wear them during the day for long walks, or in the evening for a more dressed-up style.

How to buy my espadrilles?

Select the color and size you are interested in, then place your order by adding your item to the cart and following the instructions. We offer home delivery (standard or express) and pick-up in-store, as well as secure payment by credit card, Paypal, or Amazon Pay. Finally, exchanges and refunds are offered, no stress to try them! Having grown up in the Basque Country, Astrid and Alexandre, brother and sister and co-founders of Angarde, wanted to reinvent the true traditional Basque espadrille that they had been wearing for years to create original, technical, and environmentally friendly French espadrilles for men.

A unique and local expertise

We designed our espadrilles to have the lowest possible impact on the environment. It was indeed our responsibility to create a sustainable brand by carefully selecting our materials, manufacturing processes, and choosing local production in Europe. To control our carbon footprint, we work with Carbonfact, which, by analyzing our emissions, allows us to compare ourselves with other brands, identify our weaknesses, and improve. And we show you all of this on the website, with full transparency.

Another essential point for us is waste reduction. For this purpose, our men's espadrille is made from recycled materials, is easily washable, sometimes even machine washable, and is 100% recyclable. Zero waste objective! This model is imagined in France by our designers, and then handmade by our partners in a family workshop located in the south of Spain, which we selected for the quality of their work.

In the longer term, our ambition is to bring our production back home to create 100% made in France espadrilles and promote French know-how.

Our mission: to create the espadrille that reflects you

When designing our pairs, we instinctively involve our customers to decide with them on the colors, style, and ideal components. For us, the essential thing is indeed to meet your needs and desires, to offer you a shoe that is as close as possible to your expectations. That's why our sizes range from 39 to 46, so that everyone can find their pair. Beige, black, navy blue, or even green, numerous colors are available so that everyone can find what they like.

We also collaborate each year with brands and artists who share our values to offer you original collaborations. You can find these collections on our website, alongside our timeless models.

Vegan, from fabric to sole

The upper of our men's espadrille model is made from recycled materials: for example, we offer espadrilles in ultra-resistant recycled cotton canvas, or others in recycled linen, for a high-end and elegant finish. The inner lining is made of recycled cotton or bamboo fiber, for a soft and enveloping feel. The insole is shock-absorbing, odor-resistant, and memory foam. The rubber outsole is water and wear-resistant. A thin braid of jute made from natural vegetable fiber surrounds the outer sole, adding authenticity reminiscent of the classic espadrille from the Southwest!

With each order, we also offer you a nice pouch for transporting your pair and thin cork insoles to place under your insoles if you're between two sizes. Adding this adjustment insole will allow you to compensate for a size difference if the pair is slightly too big or too wide. To top it off, when your pair reaches the end of its life, you can send it back to us for recycling, and in return, you will receive a 15% discount voucher for your next order! This is the Second Life program, unique in France, particularly important for us as it is part of a circular approach to favor zero waste.

It's a casual shoe that can also be very elegant and dressy if paired well. You can wear your espadrilles with beach shorts or Bermuda shorts for a very natural and 100% summer look. You can also opt for a more chic look and match your men's espadrilles with casual chinos and a linen shirt, a foolproof outfit for a beach lunch or a gentle summer evening.
