My sister and I wanted to create a brand that resembles us, an adventure that had meaning. Shoes and interior clothing make up unique and durable homewear collections.

The Basque Country as inspiration

Designed in the Basque Country, the brand draws its inspiration from a way of life specific to this region. Between authenticity and modernity, simplicity and refinement, well-being and dynamism. From the waves of Parlementia to the paths of Jaiskibel, from the market halls of Biarritz to the huts of Guethary, the sweetness of life is a true source of inspiration for Angarde.

The association of two brothers and sisters

Astrid and Alexandre initially wanted to reinvent the traditional espadrille, an iconic shoe of the Basque Country where they have always spent time with family. They then redesigned the slipper to create a chic and casual indoor shoe. Today, a whole eco-designed "homewear" universe is emerging behind Angarde. The brand name, "Angarde," actually means "avant-garde" in old French: a bridge between tradition and modernity.

High-end and sustainable production

The materials used are mostly recycled and sourced from organic agriculture. Production is entrusted to workshops located in Spain or Portugal, renowned for their unique craftsmanship. Circularity is at the heart of the brand: worn-out models are recycled or donated to associations.
