Casual, durable pieces for indoors and outdoors
At Angarde, we strive every day to innovate and develop fashion that is more environmentally friendly, fighting against the fast fashion movement. As part of this mission, we have curated a selection of products made from organic fabrics. This collection is designed for both men and women, primarily composed of organic cotton, including items such as our shorts, shirts, t-shirts, and tank tops. All of these homewear and loungewear pieces for women are crafted in Portugal in the finest workshops, known for their high-quality European craftsmanship.

What are the most eco-friendly textile fibers?
For sustainable fashion, it is crucial to select eco-friendly raw materials. Among the most environmentally responsible textile fibers, we can mention organic cotton, used in our women's loungewear collection, which is grown without the use of pesticides or chemical fertilizers, thus protecting the health of farmers and ecosystems. Linen, a natural fiber that requires no irrigation or chemicals for its cultivation, is also biodegradable and recyclable. Hemp, strong and durable, grows quickly without the need for pesticides or fertilizers and consumes very little water. Tencel (Lyocell), derived from eucalyptus pulp, a fast-growing tree that does not require irrigation, is also eco-friendly due to a manufacturing process that uses a non-toxic, recyclable solvent. Finally, recycled wool helps reduce the water and energy consumption required to produce new fibers.
How to adopt an eco-responsible style for women?
To create an eco-responsible look, it is important to prioritize clothing made from eco-friendly materials and brands committed to ethical practices. For women's clothing, you could opt for organic cotton jeans or t-shirts, a light and breathable linen shirt perfect for sunny days, a recycled wool sweater for winter, a soft, light, and breathable Tencel t-shirt, or even a hemp coat, a durable and insulating material ideal for the colder months.
Several good practices should be followed when looking for eco-responsible clothing for women, such as choosing natural organic or recycled materials. It is also important to consider the origin of the materials: favor suppliers or clothing made in European workshops. Made in France is not automatically synonymous with eco-responsibility. We manufacture our women's shoes collection in Spain and our ready-to-wear collection in Portugal.
Details are crucial because they not only add a touch of style but also guarantee the strength and durability of a garment. For example, the quality of the finish on a shirt collar or the pockets of pants ensures extended longevity. For instance, we added a high-quality ribbed finish to the collar of our women's sweatshirt to prevent it from losing shape.
How to ensure the ethics and sustainability of my women's clothing production?
To ensure that your clothes are produced ethically and sustainably, several actions can be taken. First, check for labels and certifications such as GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard), Oeko-Tex, or Fairtrade, which certify adherence to social and environmental criteria in the production of clothing. On each product page, we provide a card indicating the origin of every supplier and workshop we collaborate with. Here is an example for our women's tank top.
